Recently, in a conversation on the show Something Bigger, Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra revealed an interesting thing about the actress’s acting debut. He told that Priyanka, who started her career with Thamizhan in 2002, was initially not interested in acting.
Madhu Chopra had told that her daughter was completely focused on her studies. She had a dream of studying science and she wanted to become a criminal psychologist or aeronautical engineer and not an actress.
However, after winning the Miss World pageant, Priyanka was flooded with film offers. Initially Priyanka had said that she would not go into acting but her mother encouraged her to make a career in films.
Dr. Madhu recalled that when Priyanka signed the contract of her first film, she cried.
Madhu Chopra had told, “Many people were coming to sign films with her but she did not want to do so because she wanted to study. She was a talented and intelligent girl. His motive was something else. this just happened.”
Dr. Madhu Chopra told that she told Priyanka, “Try films just once during the summer, and if you don’t like it, then do whatever you want. Study goes nowhere. This is an opportunity, if you like it then see it, no one is forcing you. I had to put pressure on him. When he did that, she liked it. But she went back to college, more offers came and then it became history. ,
Dr. Madhu Chopra further said, “I saw her growing, she started doing better. I was always there to help him, to be there for him and to take care of him. I used to travel with him, it brought us closer. This helped both of us move forward together. We got a chance to talk like adults and understand each other better.
Talking about Priyanka Chopra’s personal life, the actress is married to Nick Jonas and the couple has a daughter, Malti Mary Jonas Chopra.
Talking about Priyanka Chopra’s work front, the actress is currently shooting for Citadel Season 2.
