PM Narendra Modi On Indian Athletes In Paris Paralympics 2024: The journey of Paris Paralympics has been very good for India so far. Indian athletes have won 15 medals so far, which include 3 gold, 5 silver and 7 bronze. 8 out of 15 medals have come on the fifth day only, including gold. On the fifth day, many Indian athletes brought glory to the country, whom PM Modi congratulated.
For Sumit, who won the gold medal in Men’s Javelin F64, PM Modi wrote on Instagram, “Exceptional performance by Sumit! Congratulations to him for winning the Gold in the Men’s Javelin F64 event! He has shown excellent consistency and excellence. Best wishes for his future endeavours.”
About the archery pair of Sheetal Devi and Rakesh Kumar, PM Modi wrote, “Victory of teamwork! Congratulations to Sheetal Devi and Rakesh Kumar on winning the bronze medal in the mixed team compound open archery. They have displayed remarkable skill and determination. India is happy with this achievement.”
For Suhas Yathiraj, who won silver in badminton, PM Modi wrote, “Suhas Yathiraj winning the prestigious silver medal in the Men’s Singles SL4 Badminton event of Paralympics 2024 is a great achievement! India is happy with his success. We are proud of his perseverance and commitment to the sport.”

Indian athletes close to breaking Tokyo Paralympics record
Let us tell you that earlier in Tokyo Paralympics, India had won a total of 19 medals, which included 5 gold, 8 silver and 6 bronze. At the same time, India has won 15 medals so far in Paris Paralympics. In such a situation, Indian athletes can soon break the record of Tokyo Paralympics.
