PM Modi will celebrate his 74th birthday during his visit to Odisha. He will inaugurate major welfare schemes including ‘Subhadra Yojana’ in Odisha and will inaugurate 26 lakh houses under the PM Awas Yojana in Gadkana, Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. After arriving at Bhubaneswar airport, PM Modi will go to Gadkana slum area near Sainik School here. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Odisha at 10.50 am and after that he will go to Gadkana village to interact with the beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana. The Odisha government has declared a holiday in schools and colleges in Bhubaneswar on the occasion of PM Modi’s visit on September 17. Government offices will remain closed during the first half of the day. Women are especially excited for PM Modi’s arrival and are waiting for the launch of the Subhadra Yojana.
What is Subhadra Yojana and who will be the beneficiaries
The Subhadra Yojana for women will be launched on September 17, PM Modi’s birthday. This financial assistance scheme will give Rs 10,000 to more than 1 crore poor women every year. This scheme is named after Lord Jagannath’s sister Subhadra. This was one of the major promises of BJP before the elections. Under this, ten thousand rupees will be given to women in two equal installments for a period of five years. Lord Jagannath is very popular in Odisha and every year his Rath Yatra is also held, which is a sight to behold.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to interact with the beneficiaries of the PM Awas Yojana. Later, he will leave for Janata Maidan to launch the Subhadra Yojana. Along with the launch of the Subhadra Yojana, PM Modi will hand over several infrastructure projects to the country today on 17 September.
After staying for a while in Gadakna village, he is scheduled to reach Janata Maidan around 12 noon. Apart from the launch of Subhadra Yojana, PM Modi will inaugurate railway projects worth 2871 crores and highway projects worth 1000 crores. PTI quoted officials as saying that tight security arrangements have been made.
