In this message it has been claimed that the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is giving free mobile recharge to all Indian citizens. However, this claim is completely fake. Now PIB has clarified that no such free recharge has been announced.
PIB has shared a post on Twitter and said that this information is completely wrong, due to which people are being misled. PIB’s Fact Check team said that this link is a part of fraud and there is a risk of personal data theft by clicking on it. PIB has said that no information has been given by Trai about any such free recharge. In such a situation, users should not forward this message and do not click on any suspicious link. Let us tell you that such messages have been circulated many times before.
