Phonepe Firecracker Insurance: Only a few days are left for Diwali and preparations are on to celebrate the festival of Diwali with great pomp across the country on 31st October. In such a situation, PhonePe has come forward to provide you complete protection against incidents caused by firecrackers on the occasion of Diwali. It has provided the facility to get insurance of Rs 25 thousand for only Rs 9. This short term coverage has been specially designed for the festive season. Through this, an effort has been made to provide affordable and timely security to the users.
What is this scheme and how does it work?
This plan can be purchased on the PhonePe app and allows users to insure up to four family members, including their spouse and two children. It provides insurance coverage for the protection of the family. The country’s largest online payments company PhonePe on Monday said it has tied up with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance to provide affordable short-term insurance coverage against accidents caused by firecrackers during Diwali. In this insurance, customers will get coverage of up to Rs 25,000 for 10 days at the price of just Rs 9.
What are the security protections under this scheme?
The insurance cover includes sum assured of Rs 25,000 including GST at a premium of Rs 9,
Its coverage is for 10 days from 25 October 2024 to 3 November 2024.
This plan includes hospitalization cover, day care treatment and accidental death which is limited to policyholders only.
The sale of these policies will end on 3 November 2024.
If a user purchases firecrackers after October 25, the policy cover will start from the date of purchase.
Why was this policy brought?
The validity of the insurance scheme is only for 10 days during Diwali – when all the major firecracker accidents occur. In these cases the cover amount is not there at all in most of the cases, this plan is being provided for Rs 9.
