Phir aayi haseen Dillruba Review: ‘Neither by the conduct nor by the behavior, recognize the lover by the condition of his heart,’ this dialogue is from the film Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba released on Netflix on 9 August. If you have seen Taapsee Pannu starrer Haseen Dilruba released in 2021, then this film tells the story further. Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba was seen taking Dinesh Pandit’s stories forward with many new characters. But did the story move forward in the right way or not? You can know this in this review.
Story
Then came Haseen Dilruba, which is a complete sequel to its first part released in 2021, meaning if you have not seen that film then you will not be able to understand what is happening in this story. This time the story of Rishu and Rani is seen moving forward in Agra. Many new characters have been added to the film which bring a lot of twists. The entry of another man has been shown in Rani’s life who has fallen in love with Rani, but it is very interesting to see whether Rani will keep her love for Rishu or will fall for this new love. The red color of Khubhan seems to be increasing on the story of the film, which means that many more murders are also seen this time.
how is the movie
This sequel of Taapsee Pannu has shown that it is not necessary that the sequels of films are bad every time. The story can be threaded forward well and that has happened here. Although at some places you may feel that the film is going a little slow, but the twists coming ahead will not let you get up from your seat. We all know that Rani of Haseen Dilruba and Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba is a fan of Dinesh Pandit’s books. But it is possible that you may not like listening to Taapsee Pannu’s dialogue “Pandit ji kehte hain…” again and again. This time the intimate scenes in the film have been seen less than last time. The story has been left at such a point where there is still scope to take it forward. The song ‘Ek Haseena Thi’ played in the voice of Kishore Kumar in the film is one of the best parts of the film. It is clear from Part 1 and Part 2 that the makers of ‘Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba’ want to create a loyal audience for it, which wants to watch the next part while remembering the story of each of its parts.
Acting
Then in Haseen Dilruba, along with Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey, Sunny Kaushal, Jimmy Shergill and Bhumika Dubey will be seen as new characters. The work of every actor is excellent. Every character of the film will be seen getting darker with the story. Especially Sunny Kaushal’s acting is amazing, he has done justice to the kind of character he was given. Bhumika Dubey also looks very good in her role. Jimmy Shergill has appeared as a new police officer who is shown to be a very close relative of Neel who was killed in the first part of the story. Also, like last time, Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey have deepened the color of this story filled with love and blood red with their acting this time too.
Direction
Then came Haseen Dilruba, directed by Jayprad Desai and written by Kanika Dhillon. Both the direction and the writing are amazing. Seeing the direction and story flow of the film, you feel that you are watching a story from a book on screen. Jayprad Desai has done a great job of narrating Dinesh Pandit’s story through real characters.
