Wicketkeeper Players Sold List IPL 2025 Mega Auction: In the IPL 2025 mega auction, a lot of money has been showered on the wicketkeeper batsmen. Now England’s ace batsman Phil Salt, who played for KKR last season, has been bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for Rs 11.50 crore. On the other hand, South Africa’s experienced wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock has been bought by KKR for Rs 3.60 crore.
KKR did not have any wicketkeeper batsman, so it not only bought Quinton de Kock by bidding Rs 3.60 crore. Apart from him, Kolkata Knight Riders have also bought Rahmanullah Gurbaz for his base price i.e. Rs 2 crore. On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore also did not have any wicketkeeper as they retained only 3 players in the form of Virat Kohli, Yash Dayal and Rajat Patidar. RCB still needs a backup wicketkeeper.
Phil Salt came as a replacement for Jason Roy in IPL 2025. Last season, he had scored 435 runs in 12 matches. On the other hand, Quinton de Kock could not show anything special in 2024, when he scored 250 runs in 11 matches while playing for LSG. But De Kock’s contribution in IPL cannot be ignored, who has so far scored 3,157 runs in 107 IPL matches.
