Let us remind you that a meeting of ICC officials was to be held in Colombo on July 19. According to the report, PCB has made it clear that no hybrid model will be considered. The report said – PCB Chairman Mohsin Raza Naqvi has made it clear to the ICC that Pakistan will host the Champions Trophy 2025, for which no hybrid model will be implemented. Bringing India to Pakistan is the job of the ICC, not the Pakistan Cricket Board.
The proposed schedule has already been given the green signal
A few weeks ago, the ICC had given the green signal to the proposed schedule sent by the PCB. According to that schedule, all the matches of Team India will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. If India reaches the semi-finals or finals, those matches are also to be played in Lahore. According to the schedule, the match between arch rivals India and Pakistan is to be played on March 1. Earlier, news had also come out that if India does not come to Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy, then the Pakistan team will also not go to play the 2026 T20 World Cup, which is going to be hosted by India.
Earlier, Asia Cup 2023, which was hosted by Pakistan, also became a matter of controversy. Team India refused to go to Pakistan, due to which India’s matches were held in Sri Lanka. But this time PCB has adopted a very strict attitude towards the hybrid model.
