PM Modi Congratulates Para Athlete: The seventh day of the Paris Paralympics went well for India. On the seventh day, India won a total of 4 medals, including 2 gold and 2 silver. With these four medals, India’s total medal count reached 24. Indian athletes Dharambir and Pranav Surma won gold and silver respectively in Men’s Club Throw F51. Apart from this, Harvinder Singh won gold in Men’s Recurve Archery and Sachin Sarjerao Khilari won silver in Men’s Shot Put F46. PM Modi congratulated all the para athletes.
On the seventh day, India’s first medal was won by Sachin Sarjerao Khilari, who won silver in the Men’s Shot Put F46 event. For Sachin Sarjerao Khilari, PM Modi wrote on the x, “Congratulations to Sachin Khilari for his incredible achievement at the Paralympics 2024! In a brilliant display of strength and determination, he has won the silver medal in the Men’s Shot Put F46 event. India is proud of him.”
Then Harvinder Singh won India the second medal of the day, which was gold. For Harvinder Singh, who won gold in the men’s recurve of archery, PM Modi wrote on Instagram, “Very special gold in Para Archery! Congratulations to Harvinder Singh for the gold medal in the Men’s Individual Recurve Open at the Paralympics 2024! His accuracy, focus and unwavering spirit are amazing. India is extremely happy with his achievement.”
PM Modi then wrote on Instagram about Dharambir, who won the gold medal in the men’s club throw F51 event, “The extraordinary Dharambir created history by winning India’s first Paralympic gold in the men’s club throw F51 event at the Paralympics 2024! This incredible achievement is due to his invincible spirit. India is extremely happy with this achievement.”
Then about Pranav Surma, who won the silver medal in the same event, PM Modi wrote, “Congratulations to Pranav Surma for winning silver in Men’s Club Throw F51 at Paralympics 2024! His success will motivate countless youth. His perseverance is commendable.”
