Swapnil Kusale Bronze Medal Paris Olympics 2024: On the sixth day of Paris Olympics 2024, Swapnil Kusale has won the third medal for India. He has created history by winning the bronze medal in the 50m rifle 3 position competition. Now the Maharashtra government has announced that Swapnil will be given a prize money of Rs 1 crore for winning the medal. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has said that Swapnil Kusale will be rewarded on his return to India.
Eknath Shinde said in a conversation with the media that he has spoken to Swapnil Kusale’s father and coach and also congratulated the Indian athlete through video call for winning the medal. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said in his statement, “The Maharashtra government is announcing a reward of Rs 1 crore for Swapnil Kusale. He will be given the award on his return to India from Paris Olympics 2024.” Let us tell you that Swapnil hails from Kambalwadi village located in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
Deputy Chief Minister also made a statement
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Head of Maharashtra Olympic Association Ajit Pawar congratulated Swapnil Kusale and said, “Congratulations to our own Swapnil from Kolhapur for winning the bronze medal for the country in the 50m rifle 3 position competition. I respect his perseverance and hard work. I hope you continue to perform well and make Kolhapur and the whole of India proud.
Only the second athlete to do so
Swapnil Kusale has become the second athlete to win an Olympic medal for Maharashtra in a single event. Before him, Khashaba Dadasaheb had won a bronze medal in wrestling in the 1952 Olympics. Apart from the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan also congratulated Swapnil on this historic achievement. Let us tell you that Swapnil is the first athlete to win an Olympic medal for India in 50 meter rifle 3 position.
