Olympics 2024: By the end of the second day of Paris Olympics 2024, Australia is at the top of the medal table with 4 gold and a total of 6 medals. Usually USA is in the first place, which has won 6 medals like Australia but it has been able to bag only one gold medal. Manu Bhaker has given India its first medal on 28 July, due to which she has also got official ranking in the medal table.

On the second day of Paris Olympics, Manu Bhaker opened India’s account in the medal tally by winning the bronze medal in the 10 meter air pistol event. With one bronze medal, India is currently at the joint 17th position. Australia has won the maximum number of 4 gold medals and is at the top with a total of 6 medals. South Korea is at the second position and China is at the third position. USA, the most successful country in the history of Olympics, is currently at the sixth position with one gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.

It was a good day for India in shooting as Ramitha Elavenil Valarivan and Ramita Jindal have entered the final of 10m air rifle shooting. On the other hand, Sandeep Singh has been eliminated in the men’s 10m air rifle event, but Arjun Babuta has entered the final round by scoring 630.1. Nikhat Zareen, Manika Batra, PV Sindhu, HS Prannoy have entered the next round of their respective sports. Indian athletes will want to remain in the medal race tomorrow i.e. on 29th July.
