Arshad Nadeem Rewarded Cash Prize: Pakistan’s javelin throw athlete Arshad Nadeem has made his country proud by winning the gold medal in Paris Olympics 2024, after which he has received a reward of several crores of rupees so far. The Government of Pakistan has left no stone unturned to honor him for his historic performance. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced the reward to Arshad at a special ceremony held in Islamabad on Tuesday 13 August 2024. Earlier, Pakistan’s Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited Arshad’s village and handed him a cheque of crores of rupees.
Arshad has received rewards worth crores of rupees so far
The Government of Pakistan has given a reward of about Rs 7.53 crore (897,000 dollars) to Arshad Nadeem, who won the gold medal in the javelin throw event at the Paris Olympics 2024. On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced a reward of Rs 4.5 crore (538,000 dollars) to Arshad in this special felicitation ceremony.
Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited Arshad Nadeem’s house and handed him a cheque of Rs 3.1 crore (359,000 dollars). She also gave Arshad the keys to a new car, whose registration number is “PAK 92.97”, dedicated to Arshad’s record-breaking throw of 92.97 meters at the Paris Olympics. Arshad’s coach Salman Iqbal Butt was also given a reward of Rs 15.11 lakh (18,000 dollars).
Apart from this, people around the village happily gave cash money to Arshad Nadeem. If these big amounts are added, then according to Indian rupees, Arshad has received about 15 crore rupees so far. All these reward amounts have been told in many different media reports.
Arshad Nadeem broke the Olympic record
It is worth noting that last week Arshad Nadeem broke the Olympic record of 90.57 meters set by Norway’s Andreas Thorkildsen in 2008 by throwing 92.97 meters. This throw also surpassed India’s Neeraj Chopra, who won the silver medal with 89.45 meters.
