Paris Olympics 2024 Neeraj Chopra and Arshad Nadeem: The javelin throw final match of Paris Olympics 2024 started on 8 August at 11:45 pm. In which 12 athletes qualified. The dominance of Asian athletes was clearly seen in this entire match. All the athletes kept chasing the target of Asia’s Arshad Nadeem and Neeraj Chopra, but all proved unsuccessful. In simple words, during the entire match, two Asian athletes (Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan and Neeraj Chopra of India) remained in the top two.
Brilliant performance by Arshad Nadeem
Arshad Nadeem left the rest of the players behind by making a tremendous throw of 92.97 meters in his second attempt. Arshad Nadeem’s 92.97 meter throw has become a new Olympic record. Due to this, he was successful in winning the gold medal for Pakistan. He also made a brilliant throw of 91.79 meters in his last attempt. This is Pakistan’s first Olympic gold medal after Barcelona 1992.
Neeraj Chopra won the silver medal
India’s Neeraj Chopra also performed brilliantly. After being fouled in the first attempt, he managed to win the silver medal by throwing 89.45 meters in the second attempt. Neeraj got fouls in all the three throws after this. This is the second best throw of his career. However, this throw fell short in front of Arshad Nadeem.
North American athlete won bronze medal
Grenadian athlete Anderson Peters of North America was successful in winning the bronze medal. Only the third throw attempt of Peters was a foul. In all the other attempts, he threw more than 81.83 meters. Twice he threw more than 87 meters, but in the fourth attempt he was successful in winning this bronze medal by throwing 88.54 meters. This is Anderson Peters’ first Olympic medal.
