A record number of students, parents and teachers have registered themselves this year to be a part of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to the Union Education Ministry, till now more than 3.5 crore people have registered to participate in the discussion on the examination, which is a record in itself. A large number of foreign students are also included among those who have registered for discussion on the examination.
More than 3.5 crore registrations
The 8th edition of the program has achieved a special milestone with over 3.5 crore registrations from students, teachers and parents from India and abroad. According to the Education Ministry, this response demonstrates the growing popularity of the program as a true people’s movement. Online registration for PPC 2025 started on MyGov.in from 14th December 2024 and continues till 14th January 2025. Organized annually by the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Education, this interactive event has become a much-awaited celebration of education.

Its 7th edition was organized in the town hall format in the year 2024 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. In line with the spirit of PPC, many exciting activities are being organized at the school level from 12 January 2025 (National Youth Day) to 23 January 2025 (Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti). The objective of these activities is to encourage the overall development of the students and inspire them to celebrate the examinations as a festival.
These activities include indigenous sports competitions, marathon runs, meme competitions, street plays, yoga and meditation sessions, poster competitions, screening of inspirational films, mental health workshops and counseling sessions, poetry and songs etc. Through these activities, one is taught to view education as a journey rather than a stressful activity.
