Pakistan World Records: When we talk about sports in Pakistan, cricket is the first name that comes to mind. But just last month, Arshad Nadeem won the gold medal by breaking the Olympic record in javelin throw. Apart from that, Pakistan also has some world records in cricket, which seem almost impossible to break. From Arshad Nadeem to Shoaib Akhtar and many other players also have incredible world records to their name.
Arshad Nadeem’s Olympic record
Arshad Nadeem comes from a very poor family in Pakistan, but his story of struggle has been inspiring. India’s Neeraj Chopra was once again considered a strong contender for the gold medal in the javelin throw competition of Paris Olympics 2024. But Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem broke the Olympic record by throwing the javelin 92.97 meters away. At present, it is difficult for javelin throw athletes to even touch the 90 meter mark, but Arshad has set new standards in this sport by covering a distance of about 93 meters.
shoaib akhtar fastest ball
There have been many great fast bowlers in the cricket world. There are many names who have crossed the 100 mph mark. But the record of bowling the fastest ball is in the name of Shoaib Akhtar. Akhtar’s youthful enthusiasm was at its peak during the 2003 World Cup. He bowled at a speed of 161.3 km per hour in the second innings of the match against England in Cape Town. 21 years have passed since those events, but no one has been able to break that record.
Shahid Afridi’s longest six
Shahid Afridi was one of the batsmen who hit the most sixes in the cricket world. In today’s era, hitting a 120 meter long six seems to be a very difficult task, but about 11 years ago, i.e. in 2013, Shahid Afridi created history by hitting a 158 meter long six. He sent the ball of South African player Ryan McLaren to the roof of the field.
