Shan Masood On Match Fixing: In November last year, Shan Masood became the captain of the Pakistan Test team. Actually, Babar Azam left the captaincy after the ODI World Cup. After which Shan Masood was made the captain of the Test team. However, now before the Test series against Bangladesh, Shan Masood has given a big statement on match fixing. Actually, Shan Masood assured that no member of the Pakistan Test team is involved in match fixing. Apart from this, he reacted on his strategy. Pakistan has to play a Test series against Bangladesh. Shan Masood was putting forth his point before the Pakistan-Bangladesh Test series.
What did Shan Masood say on match fixing?
Former Pakistan captain Salim Malik had to face a lifetime ban for match fixing. In fact, Salim Malik is the first cricketer who was banned for life for match fixing. Before the Test series against Bangladesh, Pakistan captain Shan Masood was questioned on match fixing. In response to which he said that I will never question the intentions of any player, I do not think there is anything in the current Pakistan system that points towards match fixing.
Recently, Pakistan’s performance in the T20 World Cup was shameful. Pakistan, captained by Babar Azam, could not reach the Super-6 round. After this, the players of the Pakistan team were accused of match fixing. Along with this, Pakistani captain Babar Azam also came under this purview. However, these allegations were completely rejected by the Pakistan Cricket Board and captain Babar Azam. Babar Azam even said that there is an attempt to tarnish my image, I will file a defamation case against those involved in it. However, now a statement has come from Pakistani Test captain Shan Masood.
