Sachin Tendulkar against Pakistan: Sachin Tendulkar, known as the ‘God of Cricket’, has played many match-winning innings in his historic career. If we talk about ODI cricket, he scored more than 2500 runs against Pakistan and his bat often showered runs against this neighboring country of India. But now former Pakistani cricketer Basit Ali has told how he was afraid of Sachin Tendulkar. The Pakistani legend told how the Indian team depended on Tendulkar in the 1990s.
I was scared of Sachin
In a video that surfaced on social media, Basit Ali said, “Sachin Tendulkar was a top order batsman and I used to bat in the middle order, so we used to watch his batting closely. In team meetings, our then captain Wasim Akram used to say during practice and even while eating, ‘Get Sachin out, we will win the match.’ In reality also, when Sachin got out, we used to win the match. Although the great batsman Mohammad Azharuddin was also in the Indian team, we were not afraid of him. But we definitely got scared on seeing Sachin.”
