Pakistan Playing 11 Against Bangladesh 1st Test: A two-match Test series is to be played between Pakistan and Bangladesh from 21 August. The first Test will be played in Rawalpindi on Wednesday. Pakistan has announced its playing eleven for this Test. The surprising thing is that Pakistan has not included any spinner in its team. In a home Test match, Pakistan’s team will take the field without any specialist spinner after 28 years.
Abdullah Shafiq and Sam Ayub will open the innings
In the first Test match against Bangladesh, Abdullah Shafiq and Sam Ayub will open the innings. Captain Shan Masood will be seen playing at number three. Former captain and stylish batsman Babar Azam will play at number four. However, this is not the first time that Babar’s position has been changed. Babar Azam has played at number four earlier also under Masood’s captaincy.
Talking about the middle order, vice-captain Saud Shakeel will be seen playing at number five. After this, wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan and then spin all-rounder Salman Ali Agha will come. Captain Shan Masood has not included Sarfaraz Ahmed in the playing eleven. Pakistan has decided to play a Test match at home without a main spinner after 28 years.
Four fast bowlers, no spinner
In the first Test against Bangladesh, captain Shan Masood has included four fast bowlers in the playing eleven. There is no specialist spinner in the team. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Khurram Shahzad and Mohammad Ali have got a place in the fast bowling department.
