Mohammad Amir Defends Babar Azam: Pakistan cricket team’s star batsman Babar Azam is facing criticism these days. Now experienced fast bowler Mohammad Aamir has taken a tough stance on these criticisms against Babar. Aamir supported Babar and appealed to critics on social media to stop personal attacks and making baseless allegations.
After Pakistan’s big win of 152 runs in the second Test against England in Multan, debate broke out regarding the absence of Babar. Some critics said that the team’s victory was due to Babar’s absence, raising questions about his role.
what is the whole matter
Despite Pakistan’s victory in the second test against England, questions are being raised over the absence of Babar Azam in the team. Babar was dropped from the team after poor performance in the first test. Along with him, fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah and wicketkeeper Sarfaraz Ahmed were also dropped from the team. This decision was taken by the new selection committee headed by former fast bowler Aaqib Javed.
Kamran Ghulam, who made his debut in this match, scored a century and spinners Nauman Ali and Sajid Khan led Pakistan to victory by taking all 20 wickets of England. After this demonstration, allegations of favoritism during Babar’s captaincy once again came to the fore.
Aamir’s strong reply
Mohammad Aamir took a strong stand against these criticisms and expressed his displeasure on the social media platform ‘X’. He wrote, “Man, please stop this cheap thinking that the team won because Babar was not in the team.”
Aamir said, “We won because of better planning and home ground advantage.” He appealed to critics to discuss only on the basis of players’ performance and avoid personal attacks. “You can talk about the performance, but please don’t get personal with the players,” he said.
