Noel Tata was born in 1957. He had proved his business ability. He was always considered the successor of Ratan Tata. Noel Tata, son of Naval Tata and Simone Tata, is educated at Sussex University, UK. After this he studied from France’s prestigious business school INSEAD. Due to this, he was given the responsibility of Tata International. In June 1999, he was made the MD of Tata Group’s retail company Trent, which is running a successful business under the name Westside.

In the year 2003, he was included in the boards of Titan Industries and Voltas. But, in 2011, the command of Tata Sons was handed over to Cyrus Mistry, brother of his wife Aloo Mistry, who was removed in 2016 and Ratan Tata again became the interim chairman.
