Nivin Pauly Accused For Sexual Harassment: After the Justice Hema Committee report came out, many celebrities of the Malayalam film industry have been accused of sexual harassment. Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly’s name has also been added to this list. A non-bailable case has been registered against Nivin Pauly in the sexual harassment case. However, the actor has termed all the allegations as false.
A woman has accused Nivin Pauly of sexual harassment. The woman has filed a police complaint in Ernakulam alleging that Nivin Pauly had called her to Dubai on the pretext of giving her a role in a film. This incident is of November 2023 when the woman went to the hotel room on the call of the actor and Nivin sexually assaulted her.
Case registered under section 376
An FIR has been filed against Nivin Pauly under section 376 (rape) of the IPC. An official from the Onnukal police station said there are six accused in the case, including a woman.
Nivin calls the allegations ‘false’
Nivin posted an Instagram post on Tuesday evening and called all the allegations false. He wrote in the statement, ‘I have seen a fake news in which I have been accused of exploiting a girl. Please know that this is completely false, I am committed to go to any extent to prove these allegations baseless and will take all necessary steps to highlight those responsible. Thank you for your concern. The rest will be dealt with legally.’
These actors were also accused
Let us tell you that before this, cases have been registered against many other actors and directors of the Malayalam film industry in sexual harassment cases. Cases are going on against actor Siddiqui, Jayasurya and director Ranjit. Taking note of this, the Kerala government has also formed a special committee which is investigating the entire matter.
