BCCI has announced Team India for this series on Friday night. The men’s selection committee has selected India’s 15-member team for the upcoming three-match Test series against New Zealand.
Let us tell you that Harshit Rana, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Mayank Yadav and Prasidh Krishna have not got a place in the 15-member team for the Test series against New Zealand. These players have been selected as traveling reserves. If any player in the 15-member team gets injured then he may get a chance.
Jasprit Bumrah becomes vice-captain
Star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been made the vice-captain in the three-match Test series against New Zealand. Bumrah was the vice-captain earlier also, but he did not get the vice-captaincy in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. Apart from this, BCCI has not selected any reserve opener in the New Zealand Test series. Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal are the only openers in the team.
Yash Dayal did not get a chance
Left arm fast bowler Yash Dayal, who was selected in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, has not been selected in the three-match Test series against New Zealand. He is currently playing Ranji Trophy for Uttar Pradesh. This clearly means that he will have to wait for his debut in Test cricket.
