Ijaz had asked Mythbavkar to organize some practice for him in Mumbai before the Test series against India.
The report quoted Dutta Mithbavkar as saying, “Ejaz had requested me at that time if he could get a facility to practice in Mumbai, as he would come a little early to meet his relatives living in the city. He was an outsider. Wanted convenience and wanted to practice on a spin friendly wicket. After that Nilesh Bhosle (Mumbai Cricket Association Apex Council member) arranged for practice at MIG Club.
