NEET UG Exam: Ever since the scorecard of NEET exam was released by the National Testing Agency, the series of controversies is not stopping. Currently, the matter is in the Supreme Court. On the order of the court, the results of the exam were released again on Saturday. These results were released center-wise. After the results were released, it was found that more than 11 thousand candidates got zero or even less marks in the NEET exam.
The lowest score in NEET UG exam is -180. These marks belong to a candidate who appeared for the exam in Bihar. Apart from this, more than 2,250 candidates have scored ‘zero’ in the exam. At the same time, more than 9,400 candidates have scored negative marks. Candidates from many centers in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, have also scored less than zero marks, from where the matter of paper tampering was also revealed.

Officials in the case say that a ‘zero’ score does not necessarily mean that blank answer sheets were submitted or questions were not attempted. It is possible that the candidate answered some questions correctly and some questions incorrectly, resulting in a negative score. In the NEET UG exam, marks are awarded for correct answers, while one mark is deducted for wrong answers. No marks are awarded or deducted for unattempted questions.
Lakhs of candidates had registered
According to reports, more than 2,000 candidates from centers in Sikar, Rajasthan have scored more than 650 marks. While another 4,000 scored more than 600 marks. The Supreme Court is continuously hearing several petitions regarding alleged irregularities in the conduct of the NEET-UG exam held on May 5. The NEET UG exam was also conducted in 14 cities abroad. This exam was held at 4,750 centers in 571 cities including foreign centers. More than 24 lakh candidates had registered for the exam.
