During a media interaction, Neeraj was asked what he thought of his mother calling Arshad her son. To this, India’s only silver medallist athlete at the Paris Olympics said, “Whatever my mother says comes from the heart. Just like all Indians were praying for me to win a medal, people of his country were also praying for Arshad. People of all countries wish for their athletes. Whatever came to my mother’s heart at that time, she said it.”
