Neeraj Chopra was suffering from thigh muscle pain for the last few months, but his German coach Klaus Bartonitz says that this problem is now over. He says that Neeraj is now practicing hard to prepare for the Paris Olympics 2024.
26-year-old Neeraj Chopra, who created history by winning the javelin throw gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics, is once again India’s medal hope at the Paris Games. But there were many questions about his fitness this season. However, Bartonitz insisted that things are now back on track.
In an interview with PTI from Antalya, Turkey, he said, “Everything is going according to plan right now. At the moment, the thigh problem is fine, it looks good, hopefully it will remain like this till the Olympics.” Let us tell you that Bartonitz has been with Neeraj for the last five years.
It is worth noting that after getting injured in May, Neeraj Chopra had to withdraw from Ostrava Golden Spike as a precaution. However, he made a great comeback by winning the gold medal with a throw of 85.97 meters in the Paavo Nurmi Games held in Finland on June 18. Neeraj Chopra decided not to participate in the Paris Diamond League on July 7. He said that this competition was not included in his program this year.
