This actress is Neena Gupta, who has made her mark in the world of films and OTT. Once in an interview given to E-Times, Neena Gupta had talked about the struggle she faced after coming to Mumbai. She had told that she had come to Mumbai with her boyfriend and then she used to work in a cafe.
‘Have you come to Bombay to become a maid?’
Neena had said – ‘I told everyone, I am ashamed of asking for money, I am not ashamed of asking for work. When I came to Mumbai, I used to go to MakeBharat Prithvi Cafe so that I could get a free dinner there. I came here from Delhi with my boyfriend because I did not have the courage to come alone. So my boyfriend used to say to me, ‘Be ashamed, have you come to Bombay to become a maid?’
Made debut with ‘Saath Saath’
Neena had told that her boyfriend used to ask her for money for cigarettes. The actress had said- ‘He used to ask me for cigarette money and I was earning dinner by working, so he was telling me like this.’ Let us tell you that Neena Gupta made her Bollywood debut in 1982 with the film ‘Saath Saath’. Along with films, he is now also seen in web series. The actress impressed the fans a lot with her character in ‘Panchayat’.
