Nyanthara On Dhanush: Netflix documentary ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale’ based on the life and career of ‘Lady Superstar’ Nayanthara has been released. However, it seems that now it is in trouble. Actually, superstar Dhanush has filed a copyright case of Rs 10 crore against the makers for using a 3-second clipping from the actress’s film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, which was produced by Ryan Star. Now Nayanthara has vented out her anger on Dhanush through an open letter.
Nayanthara got angry at Dhanush
Nayanthara released a long statement on her Instagram handle on Saturday. She has clearly written in her open letter that during the making of the recently released Netflix documentary, ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale’, she had sought permission from Dhanush to use scenes from his 2015 film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. However, Dhanush refused to give them permission and instead sent them a legal notice for using behind-the-scenes footage from the film’s sets.
Nayanthara wrote in the open letter, “After two long years of fighting with you for the NOC and waiting for your approval for the release of our Netflix documentary, we have finally given up, re-edited and settled with the current version. “Decided to do so because you had refused permission to use songs or scene cuts or even photographs from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan despite several requests.”
Scenes shot from people’s phones were used in the documentary.
Nayanthara further wrote that the scenes used in her documentary were shot from people’s phones and she also criticized Dhanush for objecting to this. Nayanthara said, “This is your lowest point ever and it tells a lot about your character. I wish you were half the person you portrayed on stage at the audio launch in front of your innocent fans, but clearly you don’t practice what you preach, at least not for me and my partner.
Nayanthara bowed to Dhanush’sVengeance’ raised questions on
Nayanthara further questioned Dhanush’s ‘retaliation’ and mentioned that she would give a befitting reply to his legal notice. He wrote, “I have received your legal notice and we will respond appropriately through legal means. Your refusal to grant NOC for the use of elements of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan for our Netflix documentary can be justified by you in the courts from a copyright perspective, but I would like to remind you that there is a moral side to it, which God “should be defended in the court of.”
Let us tell you that at present Dhanush has not given any reaction on this open letter of Nayanthara.
