Happiness has knocked at the house of Bangladesh’s star fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman. On Wednesday 4th December his wife gave birth to a son. Mustafizur shared this good news on social media platform ‘X’. He wrote in his post, “Alhamdulillah! By the grace of Allah, today we have been blessed with a son. Both mother and child are healthy. Please include them in your prayers.”

Mustafizur asked for leave from West Indies series
After the birth of his son, Mustafizur Rahman has taken paternity leave from the ODI series against West Indies. An official of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said that Mustafizur has asked for leave for December. The official said, “He has asked for leave, but we will talk to him whether he can play in either the ODI or T20 series or not.”
Mustafizur Rahman can now consider playing in the three-match T20 series starting from December 16. At present, he is enjoying this special moment with his family.
Mustafizur Rahman remained unsold in IPL 2025
Mustafizur Rahman, famous for his brilliant performance in IPL, did not find any buyer in the IPL 2025 mega auction this time. Despite the base price of Rs 2 crore, no franchise was ready to buy him.
Mustafizur Rahman made his debut in IPL in 2016. He has played 57 IPL matches from 2026 to 2024. In these 57 matches, Mustafizur Rahman has taken 61 wickets with an economy of 8.14.
