Musheer Khan Accident: Musheer Khan, younger brother of Indian cricket team’s star batsman Sarfaraz Khan, was seriously injured in an accident before the Irani Cup. According to media reports, Musheer, who was injured in a road accident, has suffered a fracture. Musheer was reportedly going from Kanpur to Lucknow with his father when the accident occurred.
It was reported in the Times of India that the extent of the injury to Musheer is yet to be known.
The Irani Cup match is to be played between Mumbai and Rest of India at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow between 1st to 5th October. Musheer’s accident before this match is a big blow for Mumbai. Not only this, the report said that Musheer may also miss the opening matches of Ranji Trophy starting from October 11.
The report quoted a source as saying, “He did not travel to Lucknow with the Mumbai team for the Irani Cup. He was probably traveling from Azamgarh to Lucknow with his father when the accident occurred.”
Had spread his magic in Duleep Trophy
Musheer Khan was seen doing wonders in the recently played Duleep Trophy. He played for India B in the tournament. Musheer had scored 181 runs in the first innings of his first match, after which the demand to bring him in the Indian team intensified. However, in the next four innings, Musheer was out twice without opening the account. Apart from this, once he scored 5 runs and once he scored only 01 run.

Musheer has played 9 first class matches so far in his career. Batting in 15 innings of these matches, he has scored 716 runs at an average of 51.14. During this period, he scored 3 centuries and 1 half-century, in which his high score was 203* runs.
