Mumbai vs Madhya Pradesh Final: Mumbai has won the title of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024. It defeated Madhya Pradesh by 5 wickets in the final. Suryakumar Yadav, Ajinkya Rahane and Suryansh Shedge performed strongly for the Mumbai team captained by Shreyas Iyer. Suryansh played an explosive inning of 36 runs. Madhya Pradesh captain Rajat Patidar scored unbeaten 81 runs. However his innings went in vain.
Batting first, Madhya Pradesh gave Mumbai a target of 175 runs. In response, Mumbai won the match in 17.5 overs. Suryansh performed amazingly for the team. Facing 15 balls, he scored unbeaten 36 runs. During this, he hit 3 fours and 3 sixes. Atharva scored 16 runs in 6 balls. He hit 2 sixes. In this way the team won the title.
Rahane’s strong performance –
Prithvi Shaw and Ajinkya Rahane came to open for the Mumbai team chasing the target given by Madhya Pradesh. Prithvi could not do anything special. He was out after scoring 10 runs. But Rahane played an important inning of 37 runs. He faced 30 balls and hit 4 fours. Captain Shreyas Iyer was out after scoring 16 runs. He hit 2 fours and 1 six. Shivam Dubey was out after scoring just 9 runs.
Suryakumar Yadav missed half century –
Surya came to bat at number four for Mumbai. During this period, he faced 35 balls and scored 48 runs. This innings of Surya included 4 fours and 3 sixes. Although he missed the half-century.
Patidar played stormy innings for Madhya Pradesh –
Batting first, Madhya Pradesh scored 174 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. During this, Rajat Patidar gave an explosive performance. Facing 40 balls, he scored unbeaten 81 runs. Patidar hit 6 fours and 6 sixes during this innings. Subhranshu Senapati played an inning of 23 runs. He faced 17 balls and hit 2 sixes. Venkatesh Iyer was out after scoring 17 runs. He hit a four and a six. Harpreet Singh contributed 15 runs.
Shardul-Tanush took two wickets each for Mumbai –
Shardul Thakur took 2 wickets for Mumbai in the final. Shardul took 2 wickets for 41 runs in 4 overs. Royston Dias took 2 wickets for 32 runs in 3 overs. Shivam Dubey, Shreyansh Shedge and Atharva got one wicket each.
