Muhurat Trading: This time there was some confusion regarding the festival of Diwali as to which day it will be celebrated between 31st October or 1st November. However, in most of the places it has been said to celebrate Diwali on 31st October only. Preparations are going on in the stock market for Muhurat trading on Diwali and now it has been confirmed in the latest circular of BSE that the date for Muhurat trading on Diwali has been fixed as November 1.
Know what time has been fixed?
The time of one hour special trading session i.e. Muhurta trading has been fixed from 6 pm to 7 pm. BSE and NSE have made this announcement and removed the confusion. According to the circular issued by the exchange, the pre-opening session will be held from 5:45 pm to 6:00 pm. The block deal window will be open from 5:30 pm to 5:45 pm.

The exchange circular also shows that the pre-opening session will run from 5.45 pm to 6 pm. The timing of the block deal window will be from 5.30 pm to 5.45 pm. Periodic call auction timing will be from 6:05 pm to 6:50 pm. According to BSE, the order entry session will close in the last 10 minutes. The closing session will be from 7 pm to 7.10 pm and the post closing period will be from 7.10 pm to 7.20 pm.
Know what is Muhurta trading?
Every year on Diwali, Muhurat trading is done in BSE and National Stock Exchange NSE. According to the Hindu calendar, the festival of Diwali is the first day of the new year and hence to make this day auspicious, special trading of one hour is done which is called Muhurat trading. This time investors can do online trading from their homes along with the auspicious Lakshmi Puja during the beginning of Samvat 2081.
