Apart from Dhoni, Gaikwad, Jadeja and Pathirana, Chennai will retain any two players from Devon Conway, Sameer Rizvi and Shivam Dubey.
According to the new rules of IPL, now all teams will be able to retain five players. The sixth player can be included in the team under RTM in the auction. If the team wants, it can retain less players than this. If a team retains 5 players then its purse will be reduced by Rs 75 crore.
According to the report, Chennai Super Kings is going to hire all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja for Rs 18 crore. This means that Jadeja will be Chennai’s number-1 retention.
