Dhoni’s surprise plan
Recalling his last international match played at the Wankhede Stadium in 2013, Sachin Tendulkar said, “I cannot convey those moments in words. When my last innings was over, the whole team wanted to do something special for me. Then then the whole team wanted to do something special for me. Dhoni came to me and said, “Paji, you stay away for a while, we are planning something.”
After this, the Indian team gave Sachin a guard of honor, which was a emotional moment for cricket fans. Sachin said, “When I was given that farewell, I realized that I will never be able to play for the Indian team now. That moment was one of the most special moments of my life.”
Sachin’s last international match
Sachin Tendulkar played the last match of his international career between 14 to 16 November 2013, which was a Test match against the West Indies. This Test match was played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In his last international match, Sachin scored 74 off 118 balls at a strike rate of 62.71. Sachin has scored 15921 runs in his 200 Tests at an average of 53.78. Apart from this, he has scored 18426 runs in 463 ODIs at an average of 44.83. Sachin has also scored 100 centuries in his international career, which no one has been able to break till date.
