Mohini shared a video on her Instagram and revealed that AR is like a father to her and he is even younger than her father. His daughter is of his age and they respect each other a lot. Mohini said, “AR Rahman is a legend, and he is like a father to me! I have many role models and father figures in my life who have helped me in my career. And has played an important role in upbringing.”

Mohini further said that she worked as AR Rahman’s bassist for eight and a half years. However, five years ago, she moved to America where she has her own band and works for other pop singers. Mohini said that divorce is a very painful process and requested everyone to be kind. Mohini wrote in the caption, “The media/paps don’t understand the impact it has on people’s minds and lives. Be sensitive. I don’t owe anyone any clarification, but at the same time, I don’t want it to be my fault.” Please stop these false claims from spoiling and interrupting the day and respect our privacy.”
What did Rehman-Saira’s lawyer say about the rumours?
When questioned about the reason behind AR Rahman’s divorce, his wife’s lawyer Vandana Shah refused to give details. However, they said that they are separating due to significant emotional issues in their relationship. Vandana further said that the separated couple issued a statement in the media so that no one could guess anything. Pointing out the absurd way people are linking the news of AR Rahman’s separation with his bassist Mohini Dey, Vandana said it is stupid for people to lump them together.
She said, “These are his other friends who are getting divorced, what is this? What kind of rumor is this, who thought of this, this is nonsense. I want to use a legal term, I say it with contempt.” I would like to see together those who are raising such issues.”
