Siraj vs Head ICC IND vs AUS 2nd Test: There was a dispute between Team India’s fast bowler Mohammad Siraj and Australian batsman Travis Head during the Adelaide Test. Siraj showed aggressive style after dismissing Head. The head had also replied to this. Now ICC has taken a big step on this matter. This uproar proved costly for Siraj and Head. ICC has imposed fine on Siraj and Head. The match fees of both these players will be deducted.
ICC has fined match fees on Mohammad Siraj and Travis Head. Both these players will have to pay 20 percent of the match as fine. Siraj has broken the rules of Article 2.5 according to the ICC Code of Conduct. Under this article, when players use wrong language or wrong action during the match, the fine of match fee is higher. If the crime is serious then the level of punishment also changes.
Siraj-head has accepted his mistake –
Team India’s fast bowler Siraj and Australian player Head have accepted their respective mistakes. Along with the fine of match fee, Siraj has also been given one demerit point. One demerit point has also been added to the head’s account. Both of them have made such a mistake for the first time in 24 months. ICC match referee Ranjan Mudugalle has taken cognizance of the matter of both these players. Siraj-Head has accepted the mistake in front of the match referee.
What happened in Adelaide between Siraj-Head –
Australia defeated India by 10 wickets in the day-night test match. Travis Head was the main reason for India’s defeat in the Pink Ball Test. He scored a century during Australia’s first innings. Head had scored 140 runs facing 141 balls. Head became a headache for India during the first innings. But Mohammad Siraj had dismissed him. After getting out, Siraj showed aggressive behavior in front of the head and said something. Head also got angry on this and gave the answer to Siraj. This matter was much discussed.
