Mohammed Shami IND vs AUS 2nd Test: These days Mohammed Shami is playing for Bengal in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Team India is currently on Australia tour for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. A five-match Test series is being played between India and Australia as part of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The first match of the series has taken place, in which Team India won. Now the second match will be played from 6th December, in which it was expected that Mohammed Shami will return to Team India. But according to the information revealed, Shami will not be a part of India in the second test also.
Shami made a comeback to professional cricket two weeks ago by playing a match against Madhya Pradesh in Ranji Trophy. Before this, he had stayed away from cricket for about a year due to injury. As soon as he returned, Shami wreaked havoc and took 7 wickets in the Ranji match against Madhya Pradesh.
Regarding Shami, Team India’s bowling coach Morne Morkel had said that the management is keeping an eye on him. According to reports, Shami was not asked to come to Australia for the second match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He is playing in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The Board of Control for Cricket in India wants Shami to work on match fitness.
The Bengal Cricket Association was quoted by Times of India as saying, “At present there is no talk of sending Shami to Australia. At present, the fast bowler selected for the tour is doing well.”
Let us tell you that Team India played the first test of Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Perth. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj and Harshit Rana were seen as fast bowlers for Team India in the match.
