Manoj Bajpayee on Intimate Scenes: Actor Manoj Bajpayee made his Bollywood debut with the 1994 film ‘Bandit Queen’. The actor has been in the industry for 30 years. Recently, his film ‘Dispatch’ has been released on the OTT platform Zee5, for which he is in the news. In this film, the actor has given some intimate scenes which are in the headlines. Meanwhile, Manoj told that he has been hesitant in doing such scenes.
Manoj Bajpayee said- ‘This is the place where the expertise of Kanu Bahl (director) comes in handy. It all starts from the workshop, being a human being, I have always been held back. Being a village boy, I have always been hesitant. No matter how many years of experience or workshops I have gone through, this hesitation is a part of me that I could have easily given up.
Why does Manoj Bajpayee hesitate in doing intimate scenes?
Manoj Bajpayee explained the reason for his hesitation. He said- ‘I have been of shy nature since childhood. So they are in me and it is very difficult to bring it out because it is the best part of my personality. I don’t worry that much about people. The reserved, shy and private qualities in me, it is my behavior that is stopping me. I had to overcome that and bring out my actor and because of all those days in the workshop, and then Kanu Belh’s impeccable direction and the immense support from all my co-actors, I could really pull it off.
‘I have never been so uncomfortable in my entire career’
The ‘Dispatch’ actor further said- ‘Where I have come from, I am struggling with it, and I am very open about it. I can’t completely remove it from who I am. While talking about intimate scenes in ‘Dispatch’, Manoj told Money Control – This was Kanu Bahl. I have never been so uncomfortable in my entire career. He was trying to make me understand. He wanted to explore the relationship behind the doors, the depth of the relationship and the dark side of the relationship.
Manoj agreed to the scene as per the director’s request.
Manoj Bajpayee said- ‘These are not just intimate scenes; There is a lot of feelings going on, and this is where you find out what they are doing in this relationship. So he convinced me and after that I really had to make myself comfortable with all those things.
