KL Rahul sold to Delhi Capitals for 18 crore: Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin is in the news before the IPL 2025 mega auction. He has created a sensation in Indian cricket by conducting a mock auction. Now in the mock auction organized by them, KL Rahul has been bought by Delhi Capitals for Rs 18 crore. The decisions taken in Ashwin’s auction have doubled the excitement of the upcoming mega auction.
KL Rahul has kept his base price at Rs 2 crore and his name is in the first marquee list. But the difference is that Ashwin has kept such an option open where the team can directly bid Rs 5-10 crores. When Rahul’s name came up, Rahul’s old team RCB started a bidding war with Rs 10 crore. Bengaluru did not bid on Rahul after that.
Gujarat Titans, Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders also wanted to buy this Indian wicketkeeper batsman in the mock auction. Gujarat was the first to go out, then after a tough fight, Kolkata pulled out after Rs 17.5 crore. In the end Delhi bought Rahul. Let us tell you that Delhi has retained Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Tristan Stubbs and Abhishek Porel for IPL 2025 and now it has Rs 73 crore left in its purse.
