IND vs NZ 2nd Test KL Rahul: Team India lost by 8 wickets in the first match of the three-match Test series played against New Zealand in Bengaluru. In this match, Team India flopped badly in the first innings and was all out for just 46 runs. In the match, KL Rahul, who batted in the middle order for the team, also appeared to be a complete flop. In such a situation, KL Rahul may be exempted from the second Test to be played against New Zealand in Pune.
Not only KL Rahul, spinner Kuldeep Yadav may also be left out of Team India from the second Test to be played against New Zealand in Pune. Even though Kuldeep took 3 wickets in the first innings of the Bengaluru Test, keeping in mind the pitch, Rohit Sharma can replace Kuldeep with Akash Deep in the playing eleven as the third pacer. Wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant, who got injured in the Bengaluru Test, may also be out of the Pune Test.
Who is the replacement for Rahul and Pant?
If KL Rahul is dropped from the second Test to be played against New Zealand in Pune, then Shubman Gill may get a place in the playing eleven in his place. Wicketkeeper batsman Dhruv Jurel may get a chance in place of Rishabh Pant. Jurel has played three tests for Team India so far.
When will the second test of India-New Zealand take place?
A three-match Test series is to be played between India and New Zealand. After the first Test in Bengaluru, both the teams will now face each other at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune for the second Test of the series. The second test will be played between 24 and 28 October. Then the third and last test of the series will be held at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
