The players market for the 18th season of IPL will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on 24 and 25 November. Before the mega auction, Kolkata Knight Riders have retained 6 players. Now the franchise will be eyeing to buy three fast bowlers in the auction. Let us know who are those three fast bowlers.
1- Mohammed Shami
Team India’s star bowler Mohammed Shami has played for many teams in IPL. Till last season, Shami was a part of Gujarat Titans. Shami had also bowled strongly, but still Gujarat Titans have released him. Now the news is that Kolkata Knight Riders wants to buy Mohammed Shami at any cost. It is even being said that KKR has set aside Rs 20 crore for Shami.
2- Mitchell Starc
Australia’s stormy fast bowler Mitchell Starc was bought by KKR for Rs 24.75 crore in the IPL 2025 auction. Everyone was surprised when KKR made such a big bid for Starc. KKR may not have been able to retain Starc, but they are ready to bid on Starc in the auction.
3- Arshdeep Singh
There is news that Kolkata Knight Riders also wants to buy India’s young fast bowler Arshdeep Singh. Arshdeep was a part of the Punjab Kings team till last season. However, the franchise released him. After this Arshdeep also unfollowed Punjab Kings on social media. Now Arshdeep can be seen playing in KKR jersey.

Kolkata Knight Riders have retained Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Varun Chakraborty, Rinku Singh, Ramandeep Singh and Harshit Rana for IPL 2025. KKR has retained 4 capped players and 2 uncapped players. Rinku Singh has been retained by KKR for Rs 13 crore. Varun Chakraborty has been retained for Rs 12 crore, Sunil Narine for Rs 12 crore, Andre Russell for Rs 12 crore, Harshit Rana for Rs 4 crore and Ramandin Singh also for Rs 4 crore.
