Kirron Kher On Her Cancer Battle: Kiran Kher is a veteran Bollywood actress. She has proved her mettle in films for her strong acting skills and she is also quite active on the small screen and is often seen as a judge on India’s Got Talent. She is also a politician.
Kiran has seen many ups and downs in her life. In 2020, the actress was diagnosed with multiple myeloma which is a type of blood cancer. Since then, Kiran has not appeared in any film. In a recent interview, the veteran actress told how she fought cancer.
Kirron Kher fought a battle with cancer
Kiran is currently living in her hometown Chandigarh. The veteran actress recently spoke about her battle with multiple myeloma in an interview with News18. Kiran said, “Everyone fears that something like this might happen one day. But when it happens, there is no option but to accept it. The treatment, with all its side effects, was even more difficult than the disease itself. The first six to eight months were very tough, but you leave it in God’s hands. Even while contesting elections, I have always believed that it is not my battle, God fights for me.”

After a lot of painful treatment, the actress has shown signs of improvement, but she is still not completely cured, Kiran Kher believes in God so much that she feels that people never have control over their lives, and it is the divine who actually manages the events. She also said that her battle with cancer is not completely over and she is still undergoing treatment. Kiran said, “They don’t even say that you have defeated it. The treatment is continuing. They give it at long intervals, but the treatment goes on for years.”

Kirron Kher started her acting career in 1983 with the Punjabi film Aasra Pyar Da. She then took a break from acting until 1996, during which she appeared in only a small role in the film Pestonji opposite her second husband Anupam Kher. When the actress returned to acting, she starred in films like Devdas, Karz: The Burden of Truth, Main Hoon Na, Hum Tum, Veer-Zaara, Rang De Basanti, Om Shanti Om and many others.
Kiran has often been seen playing the role of a mother on screen. She is also known for comedy-drama acting. Along with this, she also joined the BJP in 2009, starting her political career.
