Kiran Rao On Divorce: Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao have separated. Both of them had surprised everyone by announcing their divorce some time ago. Aamir and Kiran are good friends even after divorce. They often work together and are raising their son Azad together. Kiran Rao has revealed in a recent interview what effect her and Aamir’s divorce had on her son Azad. He said that divorce is not just cutting the rope or tying it again.
Kiran recently told in an interview to Filmfare that it happened very smoothly because it took time for us to reach the place where we were ready for divorce. We worked on our marriage for a long time. When we decided to divorce, it was a conscious decision.

Kiran further said- We never fought. We had arguments from time to time but there was nothing that could not be resolved within 12 hours. That was the kind of argument that a child has with his parents.
What was the impact on Azad?
Kiran said- We knew that there was a lot to be saved in this relationship, we did not want to throw the baby out with the bathwater. We solved it in such a way that it was not like cutting the rope into two parts, but like untying it. We took our time and opened it slowly. So, in some ways it was closure. There was also a sense of building the trust of the family and Azad’s support system, ensuring that he never felt emotional.
Let us tell you that Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao were married in the year 2005. In the year 2011, they became parents of son Azad.
