Kavita Kaushik On Quitting TV Industry: Actress Kavita Kaushik, who played the role of Inspector Chandramukhi Chautala in the TV show ‘FIR’, has decided to say goodbye to the small screen. She explained the reason for this in a recent interview. She also said that she is now looking for opportunities to work in web series and films.
Talking to Times Now, Kavita said, ‘I don’t want to do TV. I cannot work for 30 days. I am ready to do web shows or films but I am not an average looking actress who can easily fit into any kind of role. There are only a few types of roles that suit my personality.’
‘I can’t live that life anymore…’
Kavita Kaushik further said- ‘I keep getting offers of TV projects for the role of a witch like Shaitaani Rituals. But I can no longer live the same life that I had three years ago when I was doing television completely. I am grateful for that phase but I was young and I needed money. But now, I cannot give that kind of time. Even when ‘FIR’ did not take much time, I used to complain.’
TV content was told bad
The ‘FIR’ actress says, ‘TV content seems regressive on TV. That’s why I don’t want to be a part of it. There was a time when TV was progressive and we had a variety of shows. There was variety and entertainment for everyone. But now the kind of content we are showing is really bad for the young generation.’
Do people believe TV content to be true?
Kavita said- ‘The kind of regression we show in our reality shows and dramas makes people hate each other. I have also been a part of it and I am very sad. I have somehow contributed to that regression. I do not accept what they show on TV. Whatever you say, we are Indians and we think what is shown on TV is true, we get inspired by it.’
