IND vs BAN 2nd Kanpur Test Rain WTC Final: The last match of the two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh is being played at Green Park, Kanpur. Two days of the match have been completed, in which only one day’s play has taken place. The second day of the Test was affected by rain and was abandoned without any ball being bowled. In the match which started from 27th September, rain was seen on the first day also.
The Indian team has won the first test of the series played in Chennai. The match being played in Kanpur seems to be getting washed away due to rain. If the match gets affected by rain and gets cancelled, will Team India face difficulties in making it to the final of the World Test Championship? This question must be arising in your mind also.
Team India has so far played a total of 10 Tests in the World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle, out of which the team has won 7 and has a winning percentage of 71.67. After Bangladesh, Team India will play a three-match home Test series against New Zealand. Then Team India will tour Australia for a five-match Test series.
Looking at the next series, it can be said that victory in the match against Bangladesh in Kanpur will be no less than a bonus for Team India because after New Zealand, the result of the series against Australia can be anything.
If Kanpur test is canceled
If the Test being played between India and Bangladesh in Kanpur is canceled due to rain, then Team India will get 4 points. With the cancellation of the match, Team India’s winning percentage will also decrease. However, even after this, Team India will have every chance of reaching the final of the World Test Championship.
While Team India’s winning percentage has decreased, other teams still have a chance to achieve a good winning percentage. South Africa and Sri Lanka can make the race for the final of the World Test Championship more challenging by winning all their respective matches.
