Suriya To Compensate For Kanguva Loss: The makers have suffered huge losses due to South Superstar Surya’s film ‘Kanguva’. ‘Kanguwa’, released on November 14, was one of the most awaited films of this year but it flopped after its release. Due to the flop of ‘Kanguwa’ at the box office, the makers have suffered a loss of crores. But now Surya has taken an important step to compensate the makers for the loss caused by ‘Kanguva’.
According to a report in Track Tollywood, Suriya has decided to come back with ‘Kanguva’ producer TJ Gnanavel’s production house Green Studios. Suriya is going to do another film with Green Studios as compensation for the loss of crores of rupees that the makers have suffered due to the flop of ‘Kanguwa’ at the box office.
‘Kanguwa’ could not earn even half of the budget
According to the report, this film of Surya will be made in a very low budget so that the cost can be recovered easily. Surya will also reduce his fees for this film. At present, the title and other details of this film have not been revealed and the makers are also looking for a director for the film. Let us tell you that the budget of the action-fantasy film ‘Kanguva’ was Rs 350 crores and the film could not even earn Rs 100 crores at the box office.
Rajinikanth also took such a step
Before Suriya, South superstar Rajinikanth had also taken a similar step when Vettaiyan flopped. His 300 crore film Vettaiyan was released in the same year. However, the film could not earn even Rs 150 crore and proved to be a flop. Worldwide collection of the film was only Rs 259.01 crore. In such a situation, Rajinikanth decided to do another film with Vettaiyan’s production house Lyca. Rajinikanth will cut his fees for this low budget film.
