Kanguva Box Office Collection Day 5: There was a lot of hype about Tamil superstar Suriya’s action period drama ‘Kanguva’. It was being claimed that the film would create a stir at the box office and prove to be a big pan India hit. However, ‘Kanguwa’ received mixed reviews from critics and audiences after its release and with this the film got a cold start. The opening weekend collection of ‘Kanguwa’ was also quite disappointing. Let us know here how much collection has the film made on the fifth day of its release i.e. the first Monday?
How much did ‘Kanguva’ earn on the fifth day?
‘Kanguva’ was released in theaters with huge expectations. The excitement of the fans was at its peak due to the trailer of the film and Suriya’s strong look as well as Bobby Deol’s villain’s role in the film, however, after hitting the theaters, the film did not go down well with the audience and its opening was quite lackluster. Not only this, the word of mouth of ‘Kanguva’ was also quite negative. All this had an impact on the film’s earnings and on the very next day the film was reduced to single digits. Even on Saturday and Sunday holidays, ‘Kanguwa’ could not attract the audience to the theatres.
Talking about the earnings of ‘Kanguva’, the film had collected Rs 24 crore on the first day of its release. On the second day, ‘Kanguva’ earned Rs 9.5 crore. The collection of the film on the third day was Rs 9.85 crore and on the fourth day the film did a business of Rs 10.25 crore. Now the initial figures of the first Monday, the fifth day of the film’s release, have come.
- According to Sacknilk’s early trend report, ‘Kanguwa’ has collected Rs 3.15 crore on the fifth day.
- With this, the total earning of ‘Kanguwa’ in five days has now reached Rs 56.75 crore.
‘Kanguwa’ flopped
The box office performance of ‘Kanguwa’ is quite shameful. Made with a budget of more than Rs 350 crore, this film is still far from touching the Rs 100 crore mark even after five days of release. The film is looking like a complete failure at the box office and there is no hope of a big jump in the collection of ‘Kanguva’. In such a situation, this big budget film is clearly proving to be a huge loss-making deal for the makers and seems to be included in the list of flop films of Surya and Bobby Deol.
