For you, ‘Kanda Express’ has reached Delhi’s Kishanganj railway station with tons of onions from Lasalgaon railway station in Maharashtra. In this ‘Kanda Express’, it has been brought in a special rack from Lasalgaon in Maharashtra from where the supply of onion is arranged all over the country, especially in the southern areas. This Kanda Express has arrived in Delhi with about 1600 tonnes of onions and if we look at this huge stock, it is equivalent to 52 trucks worth of onions.
Actually, arrangements are being made by the government so that customers can get cheap onions during the festive season.
