Railway, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has welcomed the Starlink of SpaceX preparing for entry in the Indian market. He has written a post on social media platform X, in which he has welcomed Starlink in India. He said that it will be useful for railway projects in remote areas.

On Wednesday, Minister Ashwani Vaishnav, who is also a Railway Minister in a post on X, wrote, “Welcome to Starlink, India! It will be useful for railway projects in the remote field.” Earlier on Tuesday, Airtel announced that it had signed an agreement with Allen Musk’s SpaceX to bring Starlink services to India. The company said that India’s most remote rural corners will provide an opportunity to connect communities, schools, health centers and other institutions. At the same time, Jio has announced the partnership of Elon Musk with Spacex on 12 March. Under this, Jio Starlink’s satellite will introduce internet services in India.

The company said in its statement, Reliance Jio’s group CEO Matthew Omman said that it has been the priority of Jio to give access to affordable and high-speed broadband to every Indian. In partnership with SpaceX, the company’s commitment to bring Starlick’s services into India shows the company’s commitment. He further said that Starlink is an attempt to increase the reach and trust of the company by integrating Jio’s broadband ecosystem.
