Rishabh Pant Delhi Capitals: Rishabh Pant has performed brilliantly for Delhi Capitals on many occasions. He has been with Delhi Capitals since IPL 2016 till now. But Delhi Capitals released Pant just before the IPL 2025 mega auction. Former Team India player Sunil Gavaskar reacted to Pant’s retention. He said that Rishabh Pant was probably released because of salary. But Pant has given some more information on this.
Sunil Gavaskar reacted to Pant’s release. “The auction works very differently,” he said on Star Sports. We cannot say anything on this in advance. But Delhi Capitals will need Rishabh Pant. When a player is retained, there is also talk between him and the franchise regarding salary. I think there might have been some differences of opinion on this issue.
Rishabh Pant reacted after Sunil Gavaskar’s statement. He completely rejected the issue of fees or salary. Pant wrote on X, ‘The reason for my not being retained is not money. I can say this with confidence.
Let us tell you that Rishabh Pant has played 111 matches in IPL so far. He has scored 3284 runs during this period. Pant has scored one century and 18 half-centuries in this tournament. Rishabh Pant’s best IPL score has been 128 runs. Pant will now be in the mega auction. His base price is Rs 2 crore. Along with Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings will also be keeping an eye on Pant. CSK would also like to buy him.
